We have cracked the NEW YORK TIMES archive and present these rare articles about PA through the 1950s to the 1980s! They fill in some of the lost history of our school: such as the 1958 plan to merge the school with the High School of Commerce; a 1965 fundraising gala hosted by alumni Diana Sands and Janet Margolin; the 1974 25th anniversary Gala that starred meteoric rising comic and PA alumni Freddie Prinze; and the sinking fortunes of the school into the latter 1970s as construction of the new building stopped due to the City's fiscal crisis...
